The SUPPORT PILLAR's
own text 2021 about the fundraising on Facebook to them
(Somewhat edited by Erik Engdahl on 28 April 2021)

For my birthday this year, I'm asking for donations to "STÖTTEPELAREN - stödförening för ensamkommande unga / The SUPPORT PILLAR - Support Association for Unaccompanied-Coming Young People". I've chosen this charity because their mission means a lot to me, and I hope that you'll consider contributing as a way of celebrating with me. Every little bit will help me reach my goal. I've included information about Stöttepelaren - stödförening för ensamkommande unga below.

In 2015, 23,500 children and young people with an Afghan background were registered as unaccompanied children. More and more of them have turned 18 and then lost their fiduciary, their social secretary, their housing, their school. When they receive their third deportation decision, they lose their financial support from the Swedish Migration Board.

The SUPPORT PILLAR was founded by members of the network "Stop the expulsions of Afghan youth!". The association collects money and distributes it via local groups out in the country to needy young people. They go to grocery bags, bus passes, a night at a hostel. It is desirable that they could suffice for legal costs for individuals.

The contributions are not large but can be what keeps young people away from drug abuse and crime. These deeply disappointed young people also see that there are people who care about them. They are not abandoned by everyone.

The measures taken by the government since the autumn of 2015 were intended both to discourage refugees from coming to Sweden, but also to make it more attractive for those who are here to return to their home country. For these Afghan youth, it is not an option to be deported alone to a country of war and chaos, where many have never been. They consider it less dangerous to be paperless in Sweden or Europe.

Facebook pays all the processing fees for you, so 100% of your donation goes directly to the charity.
